Hello Everyone,

My name is Dougie and I was abandoned by the shelter. My “former owner” tried to surrender me to the Sula rescue and was asked to come back when the vet was at the shelter. Can you guess what happened? I was just left there, set free like I supposed to survive on my own! Excuse me? I did not sign up for this survival show! 📺🏹🎣
Thankfully, I was found by two amazing ladies who work at the rescue. 🩷🧡

Now, I find myself (a 6-year-old gentleman) who weights 10.5 kg (23 lbs.) in search of a TRUE DOG OWNER. Someone who will love me till the end of days, never abandon me or move without me. Someone who appreciates companionship, loyalty, and my devotion. 🔎

Yes, I cannot fit under a seat on a plane if you travel, but I sure would fit in the cargo carrier. You may say: No, I want a small dog so I do not have a big kennel to pack around…
I would say to that: there are so many dogs bigger than 20 lbs. that deserve a loving home – take a chance on us!

Possibly you do not want to pack me on the airplane… I could stay at the boarding facility (there are some amazing ones all over the world). I can stay with your family, pet sitter, co-worker, next door neighbor, you name it! Anyone who loves dogs is good in my books! 🐕🐩🤗

What does it cost to adopt me?

The adoption costs are $3,000 MXN for Mexican Nationals, $550 CND Canadian or $400 USD for Temporary or Permanent residents living in Mexico. Adoption costs for dogs adopted in countries other than Mexico are $750 CND or $600 US dollars. Don't forget, wherever you live, to budget for all the other things your new fur-baby will need.

What does the fee include?

First of all, vet blood work and check up, including all needed follow-ups, any medications needed, as well as spay or neuter by our vet. Secondly, food and care while at SULA (we love all our rescues, and pour our hearts out each day to provide best life possible). Further, the vet pre-flight check up and clearance, transport to the airport, all paperwork, all vaccinations, the cost for the airline transport, and use of a kennel in transport, harness, and leash for arrival.
