Loved by all at the shelter, this sweet, goofy boy is a joy to be around.
Andy was found wandering around the PV airport, initially, it was thought that he belonged to someone there but he did not and was likely dumped. He was so happy to give affection to any of the airport patrons. Andy had meningitis when he came into Sula which has left him with some neurological issues, however, this does not stop him walking, swimming, playing, and enjoying life.

Andy loves treats, attention and the company of people and other dogs.

My name is Cerys and I was found running away from a pack of dogs… (I am in heat as unfortunately I was not spayed, and on top of it I was homeless). No thank you, I say for this dating service! No puppies for me please. I hope to find someone who will adopt or foster me forever and we can happily live together. I will be spayed of course, and local foster close to Puerto Vallarta would be amazing to make sure that Sula’s vet can look after my future medical needs. As we enjoy life, we can stroll wherever we fancy, people watch as you sip your favorite cocktail or binge watch your favorite show. In the great scheme of life my needs are not big. Safe home, love, food, and you – a short list to make an older girl happy… 🍗💘📺

What I have to offer is myself, unedited and unscripted. Full of love, and hope. Imagine: it is late at night, and you cannot sleep. You go to the kitchen to get some water (or ice cream) and you wonder how you will function the next day if you don’t get any rest… Then, all of the sudden you hear my breath.. In and out, in and out. Quiet, even, peaceful. 💤🐕As you finish your ice cream, ooops, I mean water, you catch yourself drifting away to sleep listening to my breath. Just there in this moment the world stops, and before you completely fall asleep on the couch you write on the notepad: get more ice cream and dog cookies. 🍨🍖

Today I find myself in quite a predicament – someone asked for help – for me. I wonder what is wrong with me that this so-called help is needed. Possibly I need assistance because I have few teeth at best… 🪥😬

At my age I am not sure that dental work is on my bucket list, but sure dear doctor - take a peek. I am writing about myself not to request dentist related jokes or suggestions, but to check if anyone is looking for a sweet senior to join their life in or around beautiful Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I have heard the term “forever foster” which refers to being fostered near Sula, therefore locally. I guess aside from being me – Gumbo – I am also a forever foster candidate. Looking at the mirror (where did the time go?) I - the pragmatic dog of today’s beautified society wonder if my twinkle is gone. Is anyone out there who would like to share their life with me… I do not know what the future holds or how much time I have left but we never truly know do we? I can be your companion for whatever time life gives us. We can eat tasty food (no bones here unless they are made from yogurt), watch the sunset, and bask in a beautiful sun. My name is Henry and I am 11 years young gentleman seeking a forever foster or local foster home in beautiful Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. You may wonder why I am not lobbying for adoption… At my age chances of adoption are quite slim. Probably not as slim as me growing more hair, but pretty close. I am a Xolo dog, a descendant of regal dogs dating back over 3,500 years (as I learned from American Kennel Club website). Ancient Aztecs worshiped my breed for not only the majestic look, but also fierce loyalty. The breed’s name is derived from the Aztec good of fire and lightning, Xolotl.

Wow, that is pretty amazing, isn’t it? Would you like to share your home and love with Xoloitzcuintli dog named Henry (me)? As I cannot perform fire acts nor create lightning, I can enrich your life with love that beams beyond the universe. I can be your shadow, sidekick, and loyal companion. I can be the breath you hear at night and love you see during the day.

P.S. I am having some health challenges at this time, and I am staying with an amazing vet until my health stabilizes. I am on the "medical hold".

Meet Margo, found wandering the streets, severely malnourished, and so tired.
We believe she was abandoned, as she stayed in one area. Clearly she has been used to breed. Now too old to have more babies, she must have been deemed to be useless, to have no more value.
This old girl has tumors on four nipples where she has been so used. She will need surgery to remove them.
We are hoping that we will be able to find somebody locally who will foster or adopt, who will let her live her life out being loved and cared for.
Please help us get the word out and find Margo a place of her own.

She is just the sweetest love bug you could ever meet.
She wants to spend her days resting on your lap. We haven’t had the heart to tell her she’s a little chunky to be a lap dog 😂
She’s not very interested in going for a walk during her walk time she would much prefer to cuddle in a volunteers lap and get belly rubs.
She would be the perfect addition to a slower moving household she’s not going to ask for much exercise or excitement. Just lots and lots of love.
She came to the shelter with a large scar on her neck and we know she has had several litters of puppies before she came to us. We do not know what her poor life was like before Sula but we know she’s definitely earned some rest and relaxation.

My name is Ripple and I am a 13-year-old lady who weighs only 3 kg (6.6 lbs.) and is looking for a foster home in or near beautiful Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Vaso has had quite a journey with us over the past 2.5 years. He was found on the streets with a swollen belly which led to us finding a tumor on his spleen and involved him getting his spleen removed.
Then in his recovery, he went through a period where walking became very difficult, but decided that this would not define his future. He started walking again on his own and his health has improved completely since then.

This little guy is a lover - he loves being petted and cuddled. He also LOVES to swim. He's fine with other dogs, but he also loves to be on his own and happy to keep to himself.

If you would like a mid-calf height dog that is not too high energy and who would like to just hang around you and chill, this is your little guy!

But Vaso does struggle at the shelter in the current heat, he really needs some air conditioning and pampering.
