Meet Morticia, a one-year-old Pit Bull mix who is currently seeking her forever home. Morticia is Wednesday's sister and, like her sibling, has not yet found a permanent place to call her own. Unfortunately, black dogs like Morticia are statistically less likely to find forever homes, and this has been a challenge for her.

Morticia is a unique dog with some specific needs. She can be a bit unpredictable in her behaviour and does not do well when left with other dogs. While she can live with a submissive dog, it's crucial that her new home is experienced in handling her breed and understands her requirements. Ideally, Morticia should be the only pet in her new home.

One of Morticia's notable traits is her shyness. She's making progress in getting used to being on a leash, but she still needs assistance and patience when it comes to leaving the shelter environment. She currently weighs 14kg and is unlikely to grow much taller, so her size is relatively stable.

If you are a patient and experienced dog owner willing to work with Morticia and provide her with the guidance and stability she needs, please consider giving her a chance. Morticia may not be the easiest dog to care for, but with the right home and dedicated owner, she can thrive and become a loving companion. Your willingness to adopt Morticia could make a world of difference in her life.

Morticia is healthy, vaccinated and ready for her forever home.

What does it cost to adopt a dog?

The adoption costs are $3,000 MXN for Mexican Nationals, $550 CND Canadian or $400 USD for Temporary or Permanent residents living in Mexico. Adoption costs for dogs adopted in countries other than Mexico are $750 CND or $600 US dollars. Don't forget, wherever you live, to budget for all the other things your new fur-baby will need.
