Poor Oso was found on the street nearly a year ago in bad shape. (The last photo shows when he was rescued). He had been living on the streets for some time and he really seemed to understand that he was being rescued and was so relieved to have a safe place to rest his head. His ears were in terrible shape and he was covered with ticks and fleas.

He has been great dog at the shelter getting on with all the dogs there. His only negative is that he resource guards food (who can blame any of these dogs that have spent most of their life hungry). This is not an issue if he goes to a home with another dog they should be fed separately (which is best practice anyway). Resource guarding can be worked through with positive reinforcement.

We are not sure what mix of breeds Oso is, what we do know is that he deserves a loving home for the rest of his life.

Oso is healthy, vaccinated, neutered and ready for his forever home.

What does it cost to adopt a dog?
The adoption costs are $3,000 MXN for Mexican Nationals, $550 CND Canadian or $400 USD for Temporary or Permanent residents living in Mexico. Adoption costs for dogs adopted in countries other than Mexico are $750 CND or $600 US dollars. Don't forget, wherever you live, to budget for all the other things your new fur-baby will need.
